NOTES: August 2013 -Richard O Mantlo age 36 is listed in the 1850 US Census with Martha J & 7 children.

    Little is known of the Mantlo family before they arrived in Robertson County, Tennessee.  The name is so similar to that of the Croatoan Indian, Manteo, that it is only natural to wonder if the Mantlo family traces through Indian blood.
    In 1933, there was an old Bible in Springfield, Tennessee, in the possession of a descendant, which contained the following entries:   (I will list only the info that pertains to the person on each PAF file)
    "Richard D. Mantlo, born 8 December 1813."

It also says Sarah was born in Kentucky and she is a male.

NOTES: April 2010 - Looking on Ancestry.com in Tennessee State Marriages I found Francis and Younger's marriage.
They have Younger Pimiro but I can see Pinion and that is what I think his last name is.
I think Pinion died and she married Strickland.
