OBITUARY LEAH FORD CALL Leah Ford Call, age 92, died January 3, 1998 at her home in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on Nov. 27, 1905 in Cewnterville, Utah, a daughter of Thomas and Isabelle Cook Ford. She married Lyman Call on January 31, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois at the conclusion of his mission. Having received special permission from President Hebert J. Grant she traveled to Chicago for the marriage and then honeymooned on the way home. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple upon their return on February 28, 1928. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, M.I.A. and Relief Society. Her talents were many. In addition to being a licensed beautician, she created beautiful quilts and handwork. She was a wonderful cook and widely known for her candy and hand dipped chocolates. She is survived by her six children: Lyman Merrill (Beverly) Call, Nibley, Utah; Rodney Ford (Mary Lou) Call, Renton, Washington; Mrs. Erma Jean (Harold) Hancey and Mrs. Evelyn (Richard) Lemon, Bountiful, Utah; Mrs. Ilene (Bruce) Savage, Louisville, Colorado; and Mrs. Ruth (Paul) Fisher, Denton, Texas; 25 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Luella Call Rasmussen, Bountiful, Utah, Mrs. Bertha (Sheldon) Erickson, Long Beach, California; Mrs. Jeanette McBride, Fresno, California; Mrs. Nadine Steffin, Hopkinton, New Hampshire; Ray Ford, Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Norma (Richard) Leavitt, Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Elizabeth (Horton D.) Hess serving a mission at the Toronto Temple in Toronto, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Call, three sisters, Thelma Ford, Alta Ford Egbert Gubler, Erma Ford Stay, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 8, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful 12th L.D.S. Ward Chapel, 1475 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, Wednesday evening January 7th from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the Bountiful 12th Ward Chapel. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
He married Isabella Beveridge Cook 24 Jun 1903 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah . Isabella Beveridge Cook was born at South Weber, Davis, Utah 11 Oct 1880 daughter of David Simpson Cook and Janet Hunter .
