She was admitted September 22 1756 to church membership at the Kent(now Warren, Connecticut)Church.
Married to Martha Tuttle, 1761.
Married to Betsey Holmes, 1765.
Married Elizabeth Palmer,1767. It is thought that he removed to Orford,N.H. abt. 1765-70, as a list of the inhabitants(no date)shows the names "Constant Bliss and wife," and "Gillam Bliss, (single) a transient man,4," probably a cousin of Constant. Another enumeration, in 1772 gives the names "Constant Bliss and Elizabeth Bliss," and "young man, Gillom Bliss." Another record states thre "Constant Bliss settled on the back lot-six acres fell." This lot was originally owned by"John Moulton,III." Orford records also state that Constant Bliss was killed by the Indians at Greensboro, Vt. at an early date.
Mr. Bliss was elected Town Clerk ther in 1784, holding that office for twenty-seven years, and was also magistrate(Justice of the Peace), holding that office for twenty-three years, until his removal to Canada. He also represented Strafford at the Vermont Legislature in 1787. Afterwards married in 1817 to Betsey Wallace, who was born in 1793. Information taken from genealogy of the Bliss Family. SOURCES: 1.
