NOTES: 1. William Wilcox, born in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England 1601, Admitted Freeman of MA- 7 Dec 1636 came in ship "Planter" at age 34, having certificate from minister of St. Albans of conformity to the doctrines of the Church of England, moved to Stratford, CT in 1639, he roses to prominence in Publlic affairs - was a Representative at Hartford 1647 - was deputy to the General Court at Hartford. 2. 1651 William Wilcoxson gave 40 pounds to Church in Concord. 3. His wife Margaret Wilcox, was born in England 1611 and accompanied him to America. 4. In his will William Wilcoxson immigrant dated may 1651. He left a widow and five sons (1)Deacon Timothy residing in Stratford; (2) Joseph 1661 settled in Killingworth; (3) John and (4) Samuel went to Simsbury (5) Obadiah settled in East Guilford. 5.
