            3. He graduated for Yale College - 1823. Lawyer in New Haven
               seven years. Interested in Politics - Wig Party - Served two
               terms - Connecticut Legislature.   In 1833 he moved to
               Cleveland, Ohio.  His law partner was Sherlock J. Andrews.
               He was in Politics in Ohio - City Council, State Senate.
               Became Republican, he established Reform Farm and Trial Schools
               and Children's Aid Society.
