NOTE:  1. The ancestors of James Henry Foote's father came from Warrenton,
Fauquier Co., VA to Warrenton, NC. They were descended from Judge Richard Foote
of Old Stafford Co., VA and from Richard Foote of Cornwall England. His
mother's ancestors were John Wright and wife, Anne Williams, both of VA.
            2. James Henry Foote was appointed asst. Deputy U.S.
              Marshall in 1870. His brick home, called "River View"--sits
              on a hill in , Wilkes Co., NC.
