NOTES:  1. Thomas Brooke had lease of Chistlett Park. had patent of Fourde
             Park. Alias Cobham. To be buried in Choir of Hoathe Church.
          2. Susanna had the Parks of Ford & Chislet for Life, a widow of Clerke.
          3. Susanna re-married Anthony Vaughn (illegit) but was acknowledged son
            of Sir Hugh Vaughn of Littleton, KT.
          4. The family fo Brooke long enjoyed these parks belonging to the see
            of Canterbury of the Parks at Ford & Chislet.
          5. Thomas Brooke was Stewared of the Household to Archbishop Cranmer
            (who held him in high esteem). He wrote on his behalf to Cronwell on
            5th Oct. 1536, begging for him a grant of the house of the Grey
            Friars of Canterbury, which was then at the Kings disposal. This
            application was not successful but the archbirhop gave him a
            beneficial lease.
