NOTES:  1. John Bristow, sea captain tradition maybe? Possibly Virginia
             Bristows may have come from Bermuda. Living there from 1637 to
             1690. Died after his son John Jr. 1680-1690 dissappears rather
             abruptly (the sea captain "lost at sea")
          2. Katherine, served as a juror in a witch trial.
          3. May have been the Provost Marshall & Pilot of the island- was his
            son John Jr. or grandson?
          4. There is a family tradition to the effect that a sea captain named
            John Bristow was the 1st settler on the Rappa Hannock River in
            Middlesex Co, VA. who was lost at sea on a trip back to England.
          5. John above? or John Bristow? of Binstead, Hampshire England (his
            son Robert came- father too?
