    1. John Montgomery was senior captain at the battle of Almanac or  the "Battle of the Regulators". He was wounded at the 2nd firing of Tyrons Cannon. 17 Oct 1775 he was elected as a member of safety committee in  Rowan County.
    2. John and Mary are  buried near his home, Gulf in Chatham County, North Carolina.
    3. Child #4 Deborah Montgomery was christened at her Grandfather's home Thomas Willcox in Concord, PA
    4. John's father Alexander Montgomery is the son of John Montgomery 1st.
