NOTE:  Was Called - "one eye Joseph" - This Joseph was called "One eye" to
distinguish him from the other Josephs. When he was a baby his father shot and
suppposed he had killed a loon. He brought it home and laid it on the hearth of
the fireplace. It revived, the baby was crawling on the floor and it stuck him
in the eye with its bill and destoyed the sight. See Burdick Gen. p.18
