            3. At age 21 - he went to Jefferson County for 2 years. Re-
               turned to Spencer County - January 1886 opened a Livery,
               Feed and Sale stable in Taylorsville.  He has a number of
               five rigs and fast horses, many of which trot a mile in
               less than 3 minutes.
