NOTES: 
    1.  In 1707 Joseph Bartlett was drafted and sent to Haverhill  during the "French & Indians"War he  was captured the 29 August  1708. Was a  prisoner for  4 years among Indians (originally captured by the French & given to Indians.(notation see  Appendix to Book #RG974.45 COF-History of Newbury, MA pages . 331-334) this will describe how he lived, what he ate & how the Indians mutilated his body. - He returned Home 8 November 1712.
