    Robert Ellsworth Rockey, 73, a retired farmer and contract mail carrier, was
    found dead in the truck in which he had been taking mail to the Wabash Railroad
    station Wednesday. Mr. Rockey, who had retired last summer, was filling in for
    the regular carrier who was ill.  Dr. C. Paul Wade, Williams County coroner, is
    investigating the cause of death.

    Surviving are his wife, Sylvia; sisters, Mrs. Jessie Reamsnyder, of Montpelier;
    Mrs. Callie Zulch and Mrs. Huldah Russell, of near Edon, and a half sister,
    Mrs. Earl Lambright, of Hillsdale.

    Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilson Mortuary. Burial will be
    in Riverside Cemetery.

    FOUND DEAD IN  MAIL TRUCK

    Robert Ellsworth Rockey, 73, 101 E. Washington St., retired farmer and mail
    carrier, was found dead aboaut 9:15 p.m. Wednesday evening in the back of a
    mail truck at the Wabash depot.  He had been substituting on the truck route
    between the depot and local post office for Clarence Herman who is ill. When
    Mr. Rockey failed to return home from the evening route, a search was started
    to locate him and his body was found.

    Williams County Coroner C Paul Waid ruled that death was due to natural causes.
    Mr. Rockey apparently unloaded the mail and then crawled into the back of the
    truck when he became ill.
