    OBITUARY   Homer Peck was born in Northwest Township, Williams Co., Ohio, April 30, 1876. Died at Montpelier, Ohio, October 20, 1927, aged 51 years, five months and 20 days. He was the child of Sanford and Emma Peck, one of a family of four children, himself, one full sister and two half sisters.

    His childhood, youth and early manhood were spent on the farm in Northwest
    Township. There he obtained his education and enjoyed life as only a lad can,
    who is fortunate enough to be brought up on a farm.

    In 1899 Jun 8 he was united in marriage to Miss Sylvia Ricketts. No children
    came to bless this home and the parental love was bestowed upon Cleon
    Flickinger who made his home with them for some years, and others of their near
    relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Peck were great lovers of young folks and always had
    some of their relatives with them.

    About seven years ago Homer moved to Montpelier where he and his wife have
    resided since. He was ever interested in community affairs. He was four or
    five years Master of Spring Lake grange. He was a member of the Christian
    Union church at Berlin. He loved his home and home folks and fellow citizens,
    a devoted husband and brother.

    In his going he leaves his sorrowing wife, his step-mother, Mrs. Cora Peck,
    one full sister, Mrs. Clara Bordner, two half-sisters, Mrs. Goldie Baker and
    Miss Blanche Peck, together with many other relatives and a host of friends and
    neighbors to mourn their so unexpected loss.

    Services were held at his late home Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Oct 23, Chas. D.
    Castle, D. D., pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment
    in Riverside cemetery.
