BIOGRAPHY: Daniel Roe and his son, William, accompanied Joseph Covenay on a trip to California during the 49' gold rush.Daniel and possibly the others also, returned by ship around Cape Horn. He brought back a thousand dollars in gold with which he purchased additional land. William was ill upon return and spent most of his gold before reaching home. Daniel Roe died of tuberculosis.
