Often referred to as "The Brave Captain Johnson". Fought in King Philip's War in the 'Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company'. Killed by Indians in the Great Swamp Fight of 1675 at Fort Narraganset. Burried near Four Corners on the Sakonnet River, Rhode Island.
He married Margaret Scudder Abt 1619 at of Canterbury, Kent, England . Margaret Scudder was born at Darenth, Kent, England 19 Jun 1600 daughter of William Scudder and Mrs. Margery Scudder .
