Notes:
Immigration: Boarded the North German Lloyd line "S.S.Elbe" from Bremen, Germany with wife, Emma, arriving in New York 6 Nov 1882. No children were listed with them.

Armin emigrated to Hawaii to help his brothers with the sheep farm in Humu'ula.
Armin stopped working with his brothers and went to work for H. Hackfeld & Co. as a traveling auditor for its many sugar cane plantations. At the time he was also president and manager of the Kaeohe Rice Mill Co. When the US entered the First World War, H. Hackfeld & Co. was treated as enemy property from October 1917 onwards, and after the German owners had been dispossessed in early 1918, Armin was dismissed from the firm on 31 March 1918. He died 3 years later. At this time he was still president of the Kaeohe Rice Mill Co., and still a German citizen. Helene survived her husband by almost 40 years.
