    Per my search of 1994 National Geographic Atlas, Gelderland borders today's
    Rhineland, Germany.  Derick Schenk held the title of Lord of Afferden &
    Blynbeek.  Peter married at Doesburgh, and served with great distinction in the
    wars of his time and rose to the rank of General.  Diederick Schenck (died
    1487) was also Marshall of Kleve.  I cannot find a listing for Gosh,
    Netherlands, but due to the proximity to Gelderland and Kleve (now Germany) I
    would suspect that the Gosh listed in the records corresponds to Goch,
    Rhineland, Germany on today's maps.
