NOTE: Maybe born in Fehlheim, Nesse, which is about 40 miles from Flonheim Hesse Immigration: Arrived in Pennsylvania 9 September 1738 with wife, Anna Sophia, and child, Phillip Jacob. Sailed on the ship "Glasgow." Originally settled in York County Johannes was one of 28 men who founded the Salem Reformed Church near Dover on 30 May 1757. (Also known as Strayer's Reformed Church, now Salem Union Church) April 1761, naturalized as a British citizen in Philadelphia, before Judges William Allen and William Coleman
NOTE: Born in Flonheim, Hesse, Germany Obituary: Anna Sophia Zinn. Born August 1, 1706. Parents, Henrich Schneider and M. Elizabetha from Plohnheim in der Pfalz. Married Johan Zinn, now a widower, in 1726 from Kederon in der Pfalz. In 1738, the two came to America and lived in the area for 32 years. They had 4 children: 2 sons and 2 daughters, all of whom lived and are married. These had 19 children of which still 16 are living. She was sick for a year and died on Sept. 21, 1770, around 8:00 in the morning. She was 64years, 1 month and twenty days old, and she was buried here in our churchyard in Dover.
