Historical information included in notes. Asa's homestead was on the Woodbury Road. Plymouth is the notheastern part ofthe original Waterbury which became Watertown, the eastern part of which inturn became Plymouth. In 1812 Asa conveyed to his son Selah of Plymouth allhis property there on condition of the support of himself and his wife duringtheir natural life. Asa was a Revolutionary War Veteran.
Amasa lived in Middlebury Parish, from which he removed in 1810 to Vienna,Ohio. He was a fifer in the Revolutionary War and a pensioner. He was at New York at the evacuation by the British in 1783. He lost the toes of one foot by frost while in the Army. By trade he was a millwright; a Presbyterian, and in politics a Whig. His wife was known as a superior housekeeper.
He married Lois Warner 10 Dec 1755 at Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut . Lois Warner was born at Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut 30 Mar 1738 daughter of Obidiah Warner and Sarah Lewis .
