                   Immigrand ancestor - Sailed from Gravesend, Kent, England on 23 July 1635, according to "Landed Gentry" American Families

Note:  John Wakefield, a merchant boatman, was killed in an accident.  Quoting Rev. S. Danforth's Records, p. 166 - "A sad accident happened at Boston to one Wakefield, a boatman, who helping ye ropemaker about a cable, had his head split open and his brains beaten out." (dated July 19, 1667)
He is buried a short distance west of the Franklin tomb in Boston.
