                       SOURCE  , I, Eldra Lucile Hooper Bounds, found the marriage license of Elizabeth
    I. Bounds in the Courthouse of Yalabusha county, Mississippi.  She is found in
    the 1860 Census, of Calhoun County, Pittsboro Township, dwelling # 1220, on
    page 175.  She is there with Elias C. Bounds, 4 of their children and a farm
    laborer named Terry Hicks.  The Census was taken on 28 Sept 1860.  Other
    related families were living near-by.  In the 1870 Census of Calhous County,
    she is found in the township # 13 Range 1 with the Post Office at Pittsboro.
    The date of this enumeration was 18 Aug 1870.  Elias, her husband had been
    killed by vigilantes, and she had moved & had 4 of her 5 children with her.
    in this Census the family is found on page 2.  The 1880 Census of Pittsboro,
    Calhoun, Mississippi, finds her living in the household with her oldest
    daughter Elizabeth, who married Thomas D. Donehoo.  They had 3 children and she
    had her youngest son with her.  Living next door was her son Columbus F., and
    his wife Mary Eliza, and 2 children, including, Alvis Martin Bounds, as a 1
    year old baby.  He is The father, grand-father @ Great grand-father of this
    family.
                  

                       SOURCE    Josephine Susanna is found on the 1850 Census of the West of the
    Yalabusha River, Yalabusha, Miss. as a 14 year old.  The Census was Enumerated
    on 9 Nov 1850, and she was with her family in family #1050.  She married
    someone named Shepperd.
                  

                       John Martin Bounds, was also known as Jack.  He was living in Big Creek,
    Calhoun, MS in 1870 but by 1880 he was listed in the Blue Ridge township
    Collin County  Texas census. He married Lavina Kilgore.  They moved to
    Henderson Ciounty TX by 1990, but he died in CA. accouding to a grand-daughter
    Rosalee Duffey who lived in Bishop, Inyo, CA.  She was a nurse at the Bishop
    Hospital.  She had  photo-graphs of him that I, Eldra L. Hooper Bounds saw in
    December of 1958 when we had a surprise birthday party for dad's 80th birthday.

                       Mitchell M. Bounds  married Jane Terry Phillips born 1843 in NC.  She was the
    widow of John Phillips.  They went to Farmersville, Collin , TX  and were
    listed there in 1870, household #589 with Ann Phillips age 8 in their
    household.  They returned  to Calhoun County, MS and were on the l880 census
    with Dillie Phillips, a step-daughter and nephew James Martin Bounds born Oct
    1859 in MS, son of Elias Commander Bounds.
