BIRTH: MARRIAGE: DEATH: PUBLISHED SOURCES: Joseph Dow, HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF HAMPTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE, FROM ITS SETTLEMENT IN 1638, TO THE AUTUMN OF 1692 (Salem, Mass.: Salem Pres Publishing and Printing Co., 1893), 934-35: "John Robie, son of Henry, married Mary ----; removed to Haverhill in Jan., 1675, and lived in that part of the town which fell into New Hampshire at the establishment of the "Mitchell line." His house was within the limits of the present town of Atkingson. He was killed by Indians. His son, Ichabod, who was with him, was taken prisoner, but subsequently escaped. John had seven children, all under twelve at the time of this death. . . . "
