    ANCESTORS   AND DESCENDANTS, vol. 1 (Annandale, Virginia: by the compiler, 1976), entry no. 33: "They lived in Hampton where the Town House now stands, but moved to North Hampton between 1743 and 1745, and resided where Richard Taylor now lives (early 1900s).  Abner Fogg, Esq., was very prominent in church and town affairs, being Assessor in 1745, 1753, 1757, 1761, and 1765; Surveyor in 1748 and 1750; Selectman in 1751-2.  During the French and Indian War, he was made Captain in 1757, and commanded the 5th Co. of the Cavalry consisting of 45 men, 1754-1763. In No. Hampton, June 7, 1776, he signed the Association Test.  His will was made April 28, 1788 and entered for probate Feb. 3, 1789. He gives his children 5 shillings and his wife the rest of the estate. She was made executrix but refused the trust."

    Co., 1893), 711-12: "Abner Fogg, Captain, Esquire . . . lived first where the
    town-house stands, as did also his sons Abner and Samuel R., but all moved
    eventually to North Hampton.  Captain Fogg lived where Richard Taylor now lives
    in North Hampton. . . . "
