Notes: Andrew took a ship from Copenhagen on 23 Dec 1852 and crossed the North Sea to Hull, England. From England, he came to America on the ship "Forrest Monarch" with a ship full of Scandinavian immigrants. They traveled up the Mississippi River to St. Louis, Missouri. From there, they crossed the plains to Utah with a wagon train. Andrew was sent in one of the original groups to settle Sanpete County, Utah by Brigham Young in September of 1853. Christiana Jensen, along with her parents and sister, came to Utah with a handcart company in 1857. President Young sent them to colonize Ephraim in Sanpete County, Utah. There she met the bachelor, Andrew Thomson, and they were married three weeks later.
He married Dorothea Andersen 17 Nov 1826 at Falkerslev, Maribo, Denmark . Dorothea Andersen was born at Falkerslev, Maribo, Denmark 20 Oct 1808 daughter of Anders Larsen Buch and Karen Belling Rasmussen .
