                       Samuel and family moved to Gallepolis, Ohio in 1816.  He and Levinnea had 10
    children.  Samuel was the Justice of the Peace in Jerome Co. for 18 years.  In
    about 1875 he became one of the Commissioners of the Marysville, New Calif and
    Franklin Co. Free Turnpike.  He bought the first piece of land in 1841 in Union
    County, Ohio.  He was the founder of Marysville.
