James DONNOM

                   NOTE: IT does not appear that James Donnam and the mother of these children were married. In his will he referred to mary Elizabeth Bee as his first wife.  In her 1769 will the mother of Mary Elizabeht Bee, Mrs. John (Susanna) Bee mentioned her grandaughers, Rebecca Bee Donnom and Susannah Bee Donnom, but not Elizabeth M. Donnom, or Joseph and William Donnom, sons of James.  She did refer to her son-in-law, James Donnom, in her 1769 will.  Elizabeth , Joseph, and William were all living in 1769.
    Other Researchers believe James was married three times and that the name of his first wife is unknown.  His daughter Elizabeth was born in 1740.  Mary Elizabeth Bee was bron aobut 1729 and married Isaac Hayne first and by him has two children, Isaac and Mary Hayne, before Isaac Haynes died in early 1752.  On 10 January 1752 Mary Elizabeth Bee executed a deed of Marriage [pre-nuptuial agreement] between herself and James Donnom, and indicated that  she owned land which would not be part of her marriage to James. This type of deed would have been made just prior to her actural date of marriage.
