His brothers called him the Trafficker (farmadr) or Chapman (kaupmadr)." Author's source: Harald's Saga Harfagra, 35. NOTES: Norse Family Saga, p. 65: "Bjorn farmand, King of Vestfold, son of Harald Harfagre, engaged little in warfare. He had his station in Tunsberg and his merchant men sailed to many lands. He married and had a son, Guthroth. Bjorn's older half-brother, Eirik Bloodaxe, came demanding a share of his income. Refused, Eirik besieged Bjorn in his hall. Bjorn and his men came out and confronted Eirik, but Bjorn was killed. He is buried in a "haug" (mound) near Tunsberg, still to be seen." (This last quote is from Snorri Sturlusen, historian writing in about 1200.)
