NOTES:
    King over Romerike og Vestfold Eystein Halvdansen, also known as Eystein Fart. Married Hild, daughter of Eirik, King of Vestfold, whose land (when he died) was taken over by King Halvdan Vitben and Fret Eystein. King Eystein/Oystein was knocked into the sea by the sailyard of a passing boat. His corpse was brought to Borre, on the western shore of the Oslofjord, where a mound was erected over him.

    Halfdan the Mild, a great warrior, made many Viking expeditions. He married Hlif, a King's daughter in Vestfold.
NOTES:
    This Halfdan was nicknamed "Inn mildi ok inn matarilli" for his generosity with money, but stinginess at table. He is said to be buried in a burial mound at Borre, on the western shore of the Oslofjord.
