                       Batch Number H000115, Serial Sheet Number 0307.  Information found in
    this file was that Daniel West Neville was blessed by Samuel Bryson, and
    confirmed May 1 1898 by William H Lee, an Elder in the church.  Died of a
    sudden heart attack, brought on by Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.  He moved to
    the Lovell West Ward February 3, 1944.  A Personal Note of Interest.  Daniel
    West Neville filed and was approved to homestead on land located in Big Horn
    County, Whistle Creek area, East Willwood, about 12 miles south of Byron-- May
    16, 1939.  However, Dan relinquished this unit and his son, Keith J. Neville and
    wife Evelyn Elsinger Neville filed on it in 1944 and received the final patent
    in 1949.  The description is as follows:  Farm Unit "G" or Lots 42-K, 42-L,
    43-J, W1/2, W1/2Ep, Lot 43-K, E1/2E1/2 Lot 52-D.  Township 54 North, Range 97
    West, Sixth Principal Meridian, containing 162.02 acres, within the Cheyenne,
    Wyoming land district.  In 1950, the homestead was sold including the Taylor
    Grazing Permits (BLM) and Big Horn Mountain Grazing Permit on Wiley Creek, by
    Keith and Evelyn to the Harris Brothers, Lovell, Wyoming.  The Homestead
    description was obtained from the Shoshone Irrigation Office in Powell,
    Wyoming.  The Byron Ward Records of early-day Byron show, Big Horn Stake show
    the marriage of Dan and Stella, in 1908.

                       This is a brief sketch of Stella Beryl Pearson Neville's life written by
    Mrs. Carrie Hatch Neville about 1929.  Carrie and Stella were sister-in-laws.
    It may have been read at Stella's funeral.
    "She was born 26 May 1889 in Pleasant Grove, Utah.  She was the daughter
    of Benjamin Pearson and Sarah Ellis Hawley.  She moved to Byron, Big Horn
    County, Wyoming about 1905 or 1906 with her mother, three brothers and 2
    sisters.  At an earlier date she had lived in Old Mexico.
    Stella married Daniel West Neville 28 September 1907 at Byron, Wyoming
    and sealed in Salt Lake City Temple 8 April 1908.  From 1910-1911, Dan and
    Stella lived on a dryland farm in Upton, Weston County, Wyoming.
    She is the mother of ten children, six sons and four daughters.  One son,
    Avelon died when 2 years old.  Stella was a very industrious woman, good wife,
    mother, home-maker and cook.  She made everyone welcome, and was very
    thoughtful of anyone who was in need of assistance in anyway.  To know her was
    to love her.  She had many friends, did water color and oil paintings,
    embroidery work and was an excellent seamstress.
    Even with their large family on the ranch, Stella found time to help in
    the Ward activities, MIA, R.S., S.S., and Primary.  She was counsler to Agnes
    B. Mangus in Byron Ward Primary, 1926-1927.  In March of 1928 she was sustained
    President of Byron Ward Primary which she held until her death 4 January,1929.
    11 days after their 10th child was born, lovely Stella Beryl 2nd.  Her life had
    been an exemplary one to their wonderful family to pattern after."  At the age
    of 39 and 7 months of Peritonitis.

                       Joseph Hawley Neville is buried in Highland Cemetery Grave 18, Lot
    4,Block 128.  Joe was a very active worker in the Wyoming Oil Fields all of his
    life.  He worked at most every job that was connected to exploration and
    production in the oil fields.  He was very well known in the oil field
    business and was very successful in this type of business.  Most of his nieces
    and nephews were very impressed with his preparation of good old sour-dough
    pancakes.  They always liked to have him make them when visiting or passing
    through Casper or where-ever he lived.  Early day Byron Ward Records--Baptized

    Jun 1921, Deacon, ordained by Leo J. Neville 2 Feb 1925, and Teacher by Ellis

                       Keith Jennings Neville was blessed 2 January 1921 by Byron Sessions.  He was
    baptized 23 January 1929 by his uncle, Leo Jennings Neville and was confirmed
    by him also on the same date.  He was made a Deacon 7 October 1934 by George
    Abraham, and was made a Teacher 5 October 1936 by Leonard Cowley.  Keith was
    made a Priest 7 November 1937 by True Willey and became an elder 26 March 1955
    by Miles B. Harston.  This information was found on his death notice on
    Batch Number H000115 in SLC Historical Library August 24 1990.  Pallbearers at
    Keith's funeral were Archie Ames, Ivan Snell, Glen Mangus, Jess Winzenried, Jay
    Sessions, Jack Stevens, and an Honorary Pallbearer was Evan Wirth.  These men
    were all school-mates growning up in Byron and remained good friends all
    through their lifetimes.  Bishop Waldo M. Jensen conducted the services with
    prelude music by Sue Abraham, Invocation by Robert Dan Olson, "Abide With Me"
    by the Singing Mothers, Life History by Bob Doerr,"Home on Range" by Hazel

                       Another note of Interest....DeForest J. Neville's name was the second one out
    of the Hat in the drawing held for homesteads on the Heart Mountain Project for
    Veterans following World War II.  His application is dated 20 Nov 1946.  It is
    located halfway between Powell and Cody, east of U.S. Alt. 14 Highway with an
    opening to the Shoshone River.  Dick and wife, Audrey Andrews Neville, along
    with his brother Keith's help built a comfortable home from one of the two
    barracks which were given each homesteader.  These were left from the Japanese
    Relocation Camp at Vocation.  Keith let him use our carpenter, Herman (Judge)
    Syverson, and other hands as needed.  The description is as follows:
    Serial No. 073873, Receipt No. 3544719, for Farm Unit "A" of Lot 41, or Lot 14,
    Sec. 19, Lots 41-N, 41-P, 41-R, 41-S, 41-U of Lot 41.  Township 54N, Range
    100W, 6th Principal Meridian containing 136.09 acres.  U.S. Department of the
    Interior BLM, Cheyenne, Wyoming--dated March 3, 1947.  After receiving final
    document, Dick and Audrey sold it and moved to Byron.  Information from the
    Shoshone Irrigation Office in Powell, Wyoming.  Evelyn Neville, 1991.  Dick was
