    1. Caleb was incarcerated at Liberty Jail in Liberty, Missouri with Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith, Lyman Wight, Alexander McRae, and Sydney Rigdon on December 1, 1838.
    2. Married in the home of Judge James B. Kingsbury in a double-wedding ceremony performed by Justice of the peace Horace Perry. Caleb and his brother Runa married Judge Kingsbury's daughters, Nancy and Calista Kingsbury December 7, 1814.
    3. Caleb and Nancy were early converts to the LDS church. Caleb was baptized into the church by Parley P. Pratt on November 14, 1830.
