    1. Nicholas arrived in America in 1754. This is according to a notice he placed in Sower's Newspaper 16 June 1756 seeking word of his brother, Philip, who arrived at the same time. This notice also states that he, Nicholas, was indentured for three years.
    2. Another Nicholas Arnold arrived in Philadelphia from Germany aboard the ship "Chance" on 23 Sep 1766.
