He founded the town of Cordale in 1889. He remained there four years promoting many industrial enterprises. In 1893 he returned to Americus and resumed his law practice. He is the author of "Giant Days, or the Life and Times of William H. Crawford." He has also written numerous historical and educational articles for newspapers and magazines.
