                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    Samuel was listed in the early Belmont Co Census with Ignatius Gadd and they both signed up for the militia in the same unit. The Ohio Co. WV 1810 Census has them both listed on the same page. So is William Gadd. About 1815 this Potts family moved with the Gadds to Monroe Co. Ohio and lived in Center Twp the rest of their lives. Their farm is just South of Beallsville, Sunbury Twp. They named some of their children: Melinda, Nancy and William.  Averilla is likely a daughter, sister or a cousin of William and Ignatius Gadd.  (Information from Rootsweb Boards).
