sold to Jehu Scott later conveyed to James M. Scott.

In 1856 there was a partition suit in which Jehu Scott, James M. Scott and others were plaintiffs and the land was
sold to Jehu Scott.  In 1857 John Scott apparently the same as Jehu) conveyed to James M. Scott.  In 1885 by deed
appearing in Book 101, page 375 of the records in Recorder;s office of Macon Co., Illinois A. W. Scott and wife
, and A. B. Scott and wife conveyed the property by deed which recited that they were the sole and only heirs
of Jehu Scott, deceased.  Mary A. Scott, widow of Jehu also joined in the conveyence.  From this recital I would
normally assume that Jehu Scott died interstate and this appears to be born out by records where you find no
will.
