He came to America in the Mary and John in 1630. He was a freeman 1631; Deputy to the General Court 1637-1640; A Grand Juror 1643; Jurer 1644; With George HAll, Humphrey Pinney, and Thomas Lewis, he dealt with the Sachem Tekano for the purchase of a piece of land in 1637, about the time of the Pequot War, this land was part of the town of Windsor, Connecticutt. He moved to Northampton, Massachusetts.
