Will of Woodson Daniell, , Sr.In the name of God amen. I, Woodson Daniel [appears to be SR] of Wake County in the State of North Carolina through the mercy of God in perfect since (sic) and memory but Being but weak and Low in body Calling to mind the Mortality of this State & the uncertainty thereof do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament thereby Revoking & Disanulling (sic) every Other Will heretofore made by me & Confirming this only to be my last Will and Testament.First I commit my Spirit to God who gave it hoping Through the Merit and meditiaon (sic) of Jesus Christ to be led by him into glory my body I commend to the Earth from Whence it was taken to be Decently Buried at the discretion of my Executors here after to be Named & appointed in hopes of its Resurrection to Eternal Glory at the last Day. And as to what worldly goods it hath pleased God to Endow me with I Will & Dispose of them in the following Manner.Item, I give and devise unto my beloved Wife Nancy Daniel the tract of Land whereon I now live containing one Hundred & Sixty Acres, also I bequeath unto my Wife three Negroes to wit, one Negro fellow called and known by the name of Jacob, one Negro wench called and known by the name of Issabel, one Negro wench called and known by the name of Dinah, together with all my Household furniture, during her natural life, and after her Death the aforesaid property to be equally divided between (sic) all my children. I also give and bequeath unto my wife all my stock of Cattle & Hogs together with one Horse which She is to chuse (sic) out of my stock of Horses.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son John Daniel two Negroes called known by the names following to wit, Will, & Milley, to him and his Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son in law William Clements and my Daughter Elizabeth Clements two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit, Patt & Nathan, to them and their Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son in law James Parker & my Daughter Charlotte Parker two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit, Alice & Hannah, to them and their Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son David Daniel two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Ben & Patt daughter of Bess, to him and his Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son in law Spencer Talley and daughter Winny Talley Two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Tabitha & Isaac, to them and their Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son Woodson Daniel two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Jude & Joe, to him and his Heirs foreverItem, I give & bequeath unto my Son James Daniel two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Betty & Willis. I also give & devise unto my Son James Daniel one Hundred & Sixty Acres of Land on Neuce River adjoining the tract whereon I now live to him and his Heirs foreverItem, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Frankey Daniel two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Rebeccah & Lem, son of Jude, to her & her Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Polly Daniel two Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Issabel, daughter of Dinah, & Cook, to her & her Heirs forever.Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son William Daniel three Negroes called & known by the names following to wit Bess & Hubbard & Daniel, to him and his Heirs foreverItem, I give & divise (sic) unto the heirs of William Little, Decd one tract of Land lying and being in the County of Granville, adjoining the lands of Thomas Clements, Willis Tucker, John Story and Jno Comer Peek containing Two Hundred Acres, to him & his Heirs foreverItem, My will & desire is that my half the grist and saw mills together with the residue of my property not heretofore given away, be sold in order to Satisfy my Debts. I also will that one hundred acres of Land be Sold with the Mills and Ferry---- Twelve months credit allowed.Lastly, I do nominate & appoint my Friends William Reves (sic), Thomas Tomlinson & my Son Joh n Daniel, Executors and my Wife Nancey Daniel Executrix to this my last will & Testament thereby revoking and disannulling all & every other will, heretofore, by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & seal this seventh day o f June one Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety one.Signed, Sealed published & declared by the Said Woodson Daniel the testator as & for his last will & Testament in the presents (sic) of us who have at his request Set our names as witnesses & in the presents of each other.Rd.
