Came to America before 1645. Was in Hartford, Conn. in 1645. Moved to Hatfield, Mass. "The Hosmer heritage : ancestors and descendants of the emigrant Thomas Hosmer (1603-1687), by Ronald Roberts. Thomas Graves was excused from military training in 1645 because of his age. (Savage. Genealogical Dictionary of New England. II. 1860. p. 296) Concerning the children of Thomas Graves, James Savage reported: Thomas, Hartford, ... rem[oved] to Hadley [Mass.], ... had brot [ = brought] from Eng[land] Isaac, John, and perhaps Samuel, and a d[aughter] whose name is unkn. [ = unknown] and possibly Nathaniel; as all exc[ept] this las rem[oved] with him [to Hadley, Mass.]. Savage. Gen. Dictionary of N. E.
