Military Title: "Ryttaren" Researcher's report as received from researcher hired by David Burgin follows exactly as received: NILS LUNDQUIST (2:4) (Ed. note - 2:4 etc. was used to identify the family groups sheets the researcher was working on.) "In an effort to extend 2:8 Anders Jonsson's lines, International Genealogical Index was checked for his children and marriage. (Doc.#3) A probable marriage of Anders Jonsson and Permilla Olofsdotter was found on the IGI from Church extraction of the Kagerod marriage records. (Doc.#3) (See Map #1.) Additional children are listed for this couple born in Kropp. (See Map#1.) "When the original 1990 entry for Nils Andersson, christened 11 November 1733 was found, Nils Andersson, born 2 November 1733, son of Anders Jonsson and Pernilla Olsdotter is married to a Pernilla Persdotter. (Doc.#4) The marriage entry and the death and burial entry are for Nils Andersson of Norra Vram. "No entries found for Nils Lundquist, the clerical survey, burial, marriage, christening of his children and military records, stated he was an Andersson. The clerical survey record gives his birth year as 1733. When the Norra Vram church records birth and christening records for 1732 to 1734 were examined, there were five children named "Nils". Two were born in 1733. The original archive family group sheet for Anders Johsson states that the information was submitted by LaNett Ward of Clearfield, with information obtained from Swedish research charts to O.C. and J.F. Oleson. Ole Oleson, 2g g son is the heir. It also has the birth place as Ljunggarden, Skabersjo, not Norra Vram. There is a Ljunggarden in Skabersjo parish and in Vram parish. "It would appear that Nils Andersson, son of Anders Jonsson is not the ancestor. Nils named children Anders and Pernilla, and this could be a basis to consider Anders Jonsson and Pernilla Olofsdotter his parents. However, it appears Nils Andersson born in 1733, lived, married and died in Norra Vram. (Doc.#4) "Nils Lundquist was in the Swedish Military. Sometimes when first listed or when released, a soldier's birth date, place or patronymic is given. Nils Lundquist was in Kvistofta in 1757 listed as a Ryttaren. The 1758 Swedish Military record was searched, and an entry was found for Nils Lundquist (Doc.#5) Under Norra Skanska Rytter Regement and Billeholms Compagnie. #27 Quistofta, Nils Lundquist, 23 years old in for 4 years. Horse 7 years old. "In the 1754 muster roll for #27 Quistofta, Nils Lundquist is not listed. In the 1764 muster roll it states: #27 Nils Lundquist age 30, in 11 years, born in Skoning, married. In the 1770 muster roll it states: #27 Nils Lundquist, 36 17, Skoning, married. In the 1775 Muster roll the same information is given and his gun in 20 years old and horse which is brown with markings is 10 years old. In the 1791 muster roll, at #27 Quistofta, Nils Lundquist, age 57, in for 38 years, born in Skoning, supported by Sven Persson, #Eric Jonsson, Jon Jonsson's widow. He was found in 1794, and 1797, age 63, served 44 years. In the 1801 muster rolls, Nils Lundquist is 67 years old, served 48 years, is 5 foot 10 inches and married. In the 1805 muster roll, Nils Lundquist is replaced, and got to keep the horse that was 9 years old. (Doc.#5A) He served until October of 1801, 48 years of service. This is an abundance of interesting history, but unfortunately nothing in the record help identify his birth date, place or parents. "Next the witnesses to the christening of the children of Nils Lundquist and Olu Olofsdotter were examined for clue to Nils Lundquist's parents or siblings. Nothing conclusive was found. "The other Nils, born in 1733 in Norra Vram, was the son of Troed Andersson and Tyre Bengtsdotter of LUNDAHUS. This could be why Nils took the soldier name of Lund quist. A family record was compiled for this couple, and the other siblings do include names, Nils Lundquist named his children, Anders and Bengta. "Probate record indexes of Norra Vram and Kvistofta were searched, but no records were found relating to these families. The tax lists of Norra Vram were also searched from 1745 to 1769. A Nils Troedsson was not listed on the Lundahus farm in Norra Vram in 176
