    A Revolutionary War Soldier. He enlisted in the 3rd Regiment, Virginia Continental Line, 1 Jan 1779, taken prisoner at Charleston on 12 May 1780 and exchanged. He was commissioned a Lieutenant on 1 Aug 1780. He appears on a list of officers of the Virginia Line in Mar 1783. On 29 Jun 1790, he received a bounty land warrant for 200 acres.
