Notes:
This information came from research done by Nona Agnes Gay. She spoke to
Mrs. Ollie Thompson of Ft. Worth, Texas in 1964.

The marriage date of February 9, 1848, was documented by Pamela Walker in
October 1994 at Salt Lake Geneological Library from a book entitled, "Record of
Marriages in Monroe County, Kentucky 1838-1850", which contaianed many
marriages for Monroe County, Tennessee, (976.9 A1 #58 p.22). This marriage
information was also recorded on film #0024769, "Marriage Records Monroe County
1838-1868". A third documentation of this marriage may be found in a book
entitled, "Early East Tennessee Marriages," (976.8 v2s v.2). A fourth
documentation of this marriage may be found in a book entitled, "Records From
    Monroe County, Tennessee 1820-1870, (976.888 v2b v.1).

It would be helpful to look at an 1870 Census to verify children. There may be
more children than Noan Agnes Gay listed on her research.

Notes:
This information came from research done by Nona Agnes Gay, except for the
spelling of Pricilla, which Nona recorded as being spelled Precilla.

In marriage documentation, there are two different spellings of Pricilla:
Pricilla and Priscilla. See Allen Vaught for sources of marriage document-
    ion.

The date 10 Feb 1815 came from research done by Thomas Thompson. Nona gave me
    only Feb 1815.

DEATH:
According to a newspaper article, the death date for Pricilla was 22 May 1919. Research done by Nona Agnes Gay indicated that it was 1922. I believe the 1919 date to be more accurate.

HISTORY:
There is a very interesting history written on Pricilla in the above mentioned newspaper

Notes:
This information came from research done by Nona Agnes Gay.

Mary Bethany Vaught's name appears on many Civil War documents as she applied
for a Widow's Pension. Copies of the original documention are in the
    possession of Pamela Walker.

There are many more notes about Mary in the note section of James Pryor
    Thompson.

Both the birth and death dates for Mary Bethany Vaught came form research done
by Thomas Thompson. Nona gave the death year for Mary as 1909, but I believe
1908 to be more accurate, because her last Civil War Widow's Pension was issued
    4 Aug 1908.

DEATH:
In a letter addressed to Foster Whiteside, it states that Mary's burial site is at Dido Cemetery in Tarrant County. The birth and death dates I have match those stated in the letter. The address of the ranch where Mary Bethany lived was Newark, but the ranch where she died was in Tarrant County. Although this letter was not signed, I believe it to have been written by Doyle Thompson Sr. If this information is correct, the Rogers, Bell, Texas, stated on the pedigree chart as Mary's death place, is not correct.

Notes:
Nona Agnes Gay left a note on her research indicating that Celia Ann and Duke
Carter moved from Tennessee to Mo, then to Texas.
