    8. Deed Book D extract: p 388, December 26, 1818, Joseph Mason, high sheriff of
Breckinridge County, by John Sterett, his deputy, to Adam Bruner. Whereas a
writ dated May 5, 1818 from the Breckinridge County Circuit Court commanded the
sheriff to make from the estate of Abraham Hickman, Johnathan Hickman, Solomon
Hickman, John Crabb and Sally, his wife, late Sally Hickman, Solomon Miller and
Elizabeth his wife, late Elizabeth Hickman, Jonathan Miller and Mary his wife,
late Mary Hickman, and Daniel Arnold and Rebecca his wife, late Rebecca
Hickman, heirs and legal representatives of Charles Hickman, dec'd, their

said Court recovered as well as damages suffered by reason of Charles Hickman
failing to keep and perform a certain covenant to convey certain lands to the

on 166 2/3 acres of land, 500 acres of land, and 166 2/3 acres of land, all in
Breckinridge County. The sheriff exposed for sale a tract of 166 2/3 acres but

writ resulted in exposure of the 500 acre tract, on August 10, 1818, at the
dwelling house of Robert Hendrick agreeable to the advertisement. Adam Bruner
became purchaser as highest bidder, for $1.62 1/2 which he immediately paid.

Breckinridge County Circuit Court, together with damages suffered by reason of
the said Charles Hickman failing to keep a certain covenant to convey certain
lands to the above named Nicholas Rice, now deceased. There being no slaves or

the said defendants from their deceased father, one being on the waters of

end of the survey. The second tract bing 166 2/3 acres, part of a 500 acre
tract patented to Joseph Tobin and by two of the Commissioners appointed by
Breckinridge County conveyed to the said Charles Hickman, now deceased, by
deed. Being duly advertised, the land was exposed for sale on February 8, 1819
between the hours of 11 o'clock in the morning and 3 o'clock in the evening at
the northeast corner of the first mentioned tract, and "on the premises at a
notorious and public place," exposing first the first mentioned tract and Adam
