    7. Descendants of Johann Adam & Anna Maria Beckenbach extract:
    Peter, born about 1816, died about 1847, married Perry Co, Ind, 17 Oct 1836,
    Hannah Deen, who was born about 1814, in Indiana; Married 2) about 1852, Jacob
    Davis.  In 1880, and again in 1883, she filed for a pension on the Civil War
    service of her 2nd son, John F. Peckinpaugh. Character witnesses were: William
    H. Deen, aged 48; and Levi Deen, aged 52, Feb 10, 1883, P. O. Rono, Perry Co,
    Ind. Six children are named by Hannah:
    1) Richard G. Peckinpaugh, born about 1837, in Perry Co, Ind, died age 26.
    2) John F. Peckinpaugh, born about 1841, Perry Co, Ind; died 16 Jun 1862 in the
    Regimental Hospital near Corinth, Miss, of Typhoid Pneumonia.  He enlisted in
    Co. G of the 53rd Reg't of Indiana Volunteers, 12 Feb 1862, at Cannelton, Ind,
    was described as 5 ft 6, blue eyes, sandy complexion, a farmer.
    3) Sarah G. Peckinpaugh, born about 1843, Perry Co, Ind, died 1862.
    4) Christena A. Peckinpaugh, born about 1845, in Perry Co, Ind.
    5) Isabel Peckinpaugh, born about 1847, Perry Co, Ind (1850 Census calls her
    Lyda).
    6) Mary A. E. Davis, born about 1861, in Perry Co, Ind.
