                   SOURCES OF INFORMATION:
     Hill Family Records and the personal knowledge of Clara Hill Janson (now
        deceased), descendant of James Laythorne's wife, Ellen Hill.
CHILDREN:  Soon after Ellen Hill's death, James Laythorne placed his two small
        sons in an orphanage and went to Australia.  From what has been learned,
        he later sent for his sons to join him in Australia.
             Camille Wylie found the sons names in the 1871 Census which shows:
        James was 30, Ellen 31, Henry (or Harry) 4, Arthur 1, James Hill 19, and
        their address was 19 Court Sorley.
