children.  He names only three sons and then states his goods
should be divided equally amoung all the rest of his son's and
daughters. There are no other wills in the court of Hereford
written by Smiths from Cradley and the parish register does not
cover this early time period. Gylbert may not be the Father of
William Smyth who married Margaretam Noke but if he is not he is
his Grandfather.

Fam  There is a family William Smyth and Margart Pichard married
1560 who had a large family including a Thomas in 1572.  Because
of the two children, Thomas and Susanna being christened the
same year it has been determined that there were two William
Smyths not one remarrying in 1571.  It is not clear which child
belongs to which family, Thomas or Susanna.  Hopefully the wills
will straighten out this problem.
