                   According to Paul R. Sarret, Jr., "family tradition has been that the first Morris Roberts came to this  country from Wales."

October 1697- Morris Roberts having attended one day as an evidence in behalf of Francis Reeves in his complaint against Thomas Powell, order is granded him for 40 pounds of tobacco according to law to be paid.-Henrico Co. VA Order Book 1694-1701  (according to Paul R. Sarret)
