       In history book of Van Zandt County, Texas and article written by
       Soleator Raymond Scott a grandson of Elizabeth Bivins and James E.
       Moore:  "My mother, Elizabeth Moore Scott, was the oldest daughter of
       Captain James E. Moore who first married Elizabeth Bivins who died at my      mother's birth.  He later married Josephine Falk and to this union four
       more children were born: Naevad, Fenton, Corbin, and Yuba.  James Moore
       came from Missouri and was a trader.  During the Civil War he served as
       Captain of Co. I, 15th Reg't Texas Cavalry.  He was wounded and taken
       prisoner when the Arkansas post fell on January 11, 1863.  He was taken
       to Delaware April 10, 1863 then forward to City Point for prisoner
       exchange April 29, 1863.  He was County Surveyor of Van Zandt in the
       1870's and 1880's and was a land owner who at one time had extensive
       holdings in Van Zandt, Cottle, and King Counties. James Moore was born
       November 20, 1833 and died March 2, 1899.  He was buried in a vault on
       his farm near Myrtle Springs."

       his farm near Myrtle Springs.  My father, Thomas Matthew, was born in
       Harrison County, Texas on October 21, 1865.  He came to Van Zandt County
       and later married Elizabeth Moore at Waco, Texas, on December 6, 1882.
       He later sold his farm at Raineys Chapel, moved to New Mexico and bought
       640 acres of land which he planted in pinto beans.  He waited two years
       it did not rain and the beans did not come up, so he sold the land and
       came back to Texas.  He died September 23, 1948, and was buried at
       Edgewood, Texas.   The children of Thomas Matthew Scott and Elizabeth
       Moore Scott were: Lorena, Yaba Ophelia, William Tyson, Napoleon and
       Soleator Raymond Scott."
