TAX LISTS:  In the tax lists of 1770-1783 Jacob Epply of Codorus Twp. was             shown as owner of 170-180 acres; he had two or three horses and seven         or eight cows; in 1783 he was credited with nine inhabitants.  In             1795 he appears as owner of 550 acres.

                   PARENTS: Entry in the Ziegler's Church or St. Paul's Reformed Congregation,            of North Cordorus, York County, Pennsylvania.  Source book: FHL               book 974.841 K2b vol. 1.  These records show John Peter, Frederick,
            Elizabeth, and Anna Barbara being baptized as children of Jacob and
            Elizabeth Eppele.  Jacob and Elizabeth also have earlier children,
            Johannes and Christina baptized at St. Jacob's Church, plus 2
            children, Susanna and Catharina, from his 1st wife Christina.  The            sponsors at Peter's baptism were Peter and Barbara Krebs.  Also
            in Ziegler's Church later on in the record it shows Peter and
            Margaret Eppele as the parents of John, Samuel, Adam, Francis, and
            Peter.  The witnesses for Peter and Margaret Eppele's children are
            John Eppele and wife Juliana, and Frederick Eppele and wife                   Christina whom I believe to be the brothers of Peter.

            dated Sept 15, 1834 states that Peter Epley of Cumberland Twp.
            died on September 15, 1834.
