POSSIBLE FATHER: THIS IS UNPROVEN Speculation is that JGW Biven's father is Abel or William Bivins in the 1830 Census of Wayne County, Tennessee. 1830 Census of Wayne County, Tennessee There are 5 Bivins listed on the 1830 Census in Wayne County:on pg. 300 is Stephen Bivins age 20-30 and Abel Bivins age50-60, on pg 301 is Moses Bivins age 30-40 and John G. W. Bivins age 20-30, then six households away is Obediency Hill (J.G.W. Bivins mother-in-law) and next to her is a William Bivins age 50-60. SPOUSE-CHILDREN: Census records show her first daughter being born in 1849 or 1850. 1860 Census shows her first three children--Adiline, Martha, Sam--with the last names Bivins, then Chas H. last name as Boren. Also her first 2 children--Adiline, and Martha--were both born in Tennessee. This makes me wonder if Henry Boren/Bosen wasn't Martha's 2nd husband and her 1st husband is V.K. Massey who married a Mary Ann Bivins on Dec. 2, 1851 in VanZandt County, Texas. Also on the 1870 Census Henry Boren is not listed, instead Mary Boren is shown as the head of the family, but 2 dwellings away from her is a Samuel Massey age 46---could this be V.K. Massey's brother?
