"Ancestry of Nathan Blake", by A. T. Gendrot Settled in Dorchester, Mass. about 1632, though not found in the list of Dr. Harris; was there to partake, 1636, in division of Cow Common. The inventory of his estate was taken 17 Dec 1637. A chest of carpenter's tools and pump tools are mentioned. Mary and William Pond petitioned the Court for administration of the estate, and it is ordered 10 May 1648. SOURCE: "Ancestry of Nathan Blake", by A. T. Gendrot Daniel is called a husbandman and appeared in the town of Dedham, Mass., about the year 1652, having purchased land on the 30 March that year. He was received into full communion in the Dedham church 8:11:1653. He was one of the Selectment of the town in 1660. In 1661 the southern portion of Dedham was set off into a separate township called Wrentham and he immediately became an owner of real estate there, obtaining a grant of Lot No. 15 as early as 22 March 1662/3. He probably never lived in Wrentham. He was a Lieutenant of the militia and took the freeman's oath in 1690.
